I'm sort of ambivalent about these tats. Dan did nail the hammer on the head with one attunement powering all the tats you can fit on your body being a useful rule. This is your tat invested character making a side quest out of getting the best tats to power uo their character to cover whatever hole is in the group could be useful. until you polymorph into a Kraken for more limbs...
