I would totally protest A GM trying to have a tree that dropped a bunch of seeds to make a forest of evil. there’s a point doing things where It doesn’t make sense to me based upon my understanding of the supernatural evil and reality like that too It’s just now there’s a couple of things I will say about this and how it appears to me.

number one but the largest living single organism on the planet is a plant and I want to say it is an Aspen colony so that could work it’s a single large organism and anything that comes into this Grove of Aspen trees that has been turned into a phylactery by a lich that okay I personally wouldn’t allow living things to produce additional life after being turned into a phylactery

grow to anybody how many souls but no just doesn’t make sense to like they are they’re unlif sorry that’s just a hard no and it’s it’s not find me I know it doesn’t sound good to me. But Im not the DM so here’s a trick for the players was to figure out there’s a phylactery as an Aspen Grove or I guess your forest it’s going to eat soul’s nearby so anybody that gets killed in there they lose their soul, they can’t bring them back from the dead at that point as far as I understand it.

or a tribe of Elves, zygote to phylactery to Elf (or Dragon, since ADam likes dragon egg kerrfukery) it’s just the game became not worthwhile for me So that’s where I stand on is that this is something that you know yes I can understand about this idea I’m just going to you know sit down and tell the GM no I don’t think it works that way. I mean it’s just such an idea, but it isnt a headcanon or changes your mind. it’s just like a no sorry that that does not fit into the lore that’s all.

not only would a seed sprouting arguably be destruction of the phylactery (oops) but why not do something like a Wall of force or other ridiculous thing? but let’s do better, a kingdom wants a phylactery to stop certain people by having them removed from the karmic wheel like a Rakasha, having the lich eat the Rakasha’s soul stops that shenanigans, or resurrection magics or other messes.
