In this episode of the It's A Mimic! podcast, the three Dungeon Masters sit down and discuss what is seemingly the simplest class, but there's more to Fighters than meets the eye! The classic Dungeons & Dragons martial class has a ton of surprising options, and the DM's break down different ways to approach building the sub-classes and using the class features in creative ways.
SUMMARY: When the panel of Dungeon Masters FINALLY get to the point, they look into why Fighters are so iconic, and what class features make them a good option for multi-classing. They look at the three sub-classes in the Player's Handbook - the Champion, the Battle Master, and the Eldritch Knight - and discuss their strengths and weaknesses, before moving on to interesting character builds and inspirations.

It’s all about subterranean locations in this week’s episode of the It’s A Mimic! podcast, as the panel of Dungeon Masters discuss what makes a dungeon a dungeon, and how to properly design one. One of the lynchpins of Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, the dungeon has some must haves and some faux pas, and the DM’s discuss what these are, as well as how players should go about exploring, fighting, and role playing in these infamous locations.
SUMMARY: On of the biggest tropes in Dungeons & Dragons is players fighting their way through the first half of the title, but how boring and how difficult should these areas be? When the panel of Dungeon Masters FINALLY gets to the topic of Green Dragons, they latch on to some tactics and personality quirks that they find interesting. There are some strange mechanics and odd design choices that they break down, and the DM’s revel in the petty and conniving nature of the big, scaly foes.
SUMMARY: As the boys sit down to go over Green Dragons, they look not only at battle strategies, but also at how and why to split the party, where and how to use Green Dragon lairs, and even how to make one the central evil NPC of the campaign. EXCERPT: The very first giveaway special is here! The It's A Mimic! Podcast reached 1000 followers on IG, and the prize was allowing one person to choose the topic of a special episode geared just toward them! The winner, @tari_waves_an20 , wanted to know about DM inspiration, so the panel of Dungeon Masters put their heads together for some targeted questions!
SUMMARY: As Tari from the All Natural Twenties is thinking about dabbling in DMing she asked about three basic topics: Themes, NPC's, and Plot Lines. One of the most overlooked and underrated monsters in the 5th Edition Monster Manual is Bullywugs, and so the panel of Dungeon Masters dives in with both feet to wade around in the limited lore that Dungeons & Dragons has provided. From societal quirks to potential allies to the new additions in Ghosts of Saltmarsh, the DM's open up about everything amphibious and discuss tactics, campaign hooks, and unique roleplaying opportunities.
SUMMARY: It's all evil threats, slimy warts, and swampy bumps this week on It's A Mimic! and we're not just talking about Intern Dave this time! Standard Bullywugs, Croakers, and Royals all get a good look, as well as a variety of other different frog- and toad-themed enemies. One of the few mobs that relies heavily upon its environment, Bullywugs add the potential for both comedy and horror in any campaign, even up into Tier 3 if done properly. As the panel of Dungeon Masters digs into the newest class addition in Dungeon & Dragons, they find new and interesting player hooks, and decipher the strange mechanics that imbue Warlocks with their magicks. They discuss the patrons of The Hexblade and The Celestial from Xanathar's Guide to Everything, and The Undying from Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide.
SUMMARY: We discover that Saruman is a Warlock, and Death Note and The VVitch are about Warlocks, but most importantly Terry's wizarding house is Slytherin and Dan's is Hufflepuff. Adam, however, can't seem to find his, despite his best efforts.

In this episode of the It's A Mimic! podcast, the three Dungeon Masters sit down and discuss what is arguably the most infamous class in Dungeons & Dragons: Rogues. While tearing into the Player's Handbook to dissect the base class features and three Roguish Archetypes, the panel of DM's come at the class from very different perspectives, often butting heads and trying to come to terms with the others' points of view.
SUMMARY: The sneakiest of sneaks, Rogues offer a few unique experiences and mechanics to 5e, and the panel of Dungeon Masters spotlight Arcane Tricksters, Thieves, and Assassins to discuss some of the options that the class presents. Terry tries to keep this episode on track while Dan and Adam square off over mechanics and roleplaying opportunities, but things get out of hand more than once as passions flare up about this unique class and how players can use it to their advantage.
